Joshua Mackie lives in Sydney NSW Hey there! My name’s Joshua Mackie, a young Sydney-based woodturner. I’ve always been crafty, with my interest in woodworking developing particularly since age 6. My first go on a wood-lathe was in high school in 2022 and I was instantly addicted. I soon bought my own equipment, eyes set on it becoming a professional career. Nowadays as I make pieces I find inspiration in nature, architecture and others' work. As I study these things I aim to replicate the crisp details and smooth, flowing lines that they display.
